As regular visitors to my blog will no doubt be aware, for the first time, I’ve missed my normal deadline of a post. Sorry for that if you were expecting your regular blog post on Thursday evening.
Yesterday was a bigger day than I expected with a team building exercise in order to support charity. Each member of the group had a task to complete and a given deadline. We barely made the deadline because some parts of it took longer than expected. Looking back roughly 24 hours later and just having missed a self-imposed deadline I am slightly annoyed at myself. I’ve made the same mistake which yesterday I was annoyed at others for doing.
Matthew 7:3-5 says:
“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
I judged the people on my team too quickly. Next time before I get annoyed at people, I need to remember that I’m not perfect and that I make mistakes too.
